Team Jonathan Raises Over $14,000. Plunging For Chesapeake's Special Olympics

Team Jonathan created the biggest splash for Chesapeake in this year’s annual Polar Plunge Winter Festival.  The 21 members of Jonathan’s team consisting of his family were challenged by cold and windy conditions with moderate to strong surf.  With water and air temperatures hovering around 48 degrees the team huddled together before the plunge for a final few minutes of warmth waiting for the signal to plunge. On signal and oblivious to the cold water and surf conditions everybody jumped in the water and had a swell time as they plunged for a great cause. Between this year and last year’s plunge Team Jonathan has raised over $33,000. dollars for  Chesapeake’s Special Olympics. Chesapeake thanks all of Jonathan’s Team members for their continued support of our Special Olympics program.  Congratulations Team Jonathan!

Chesapeake Special Olympics is proud to be a part of Special Olympics Virginia, Area 2. Chesapeake is the fastest growing Special Olympics program in the area nearly doubling its number of athletes within the last two years.
